BROADCASTING AND MEDIA STUDIO TOUR (11 a.m.) Location: Speech Arts 172-Departs from Free Speech Area
Tour our professional TV studio and find out what it’s like to anchor the news or do the weather. You’ll get to sit on the news set and read from the Teleprompter or stand in front of a green screen and give a weather forecast. We’ll let you operate our high definition studio and field cameras and take a seat in the cockpit in our high-tech control room. Media, Communications and Journalism students will be there to tell you why they love this major and answer any questions you have about courses and careers in Radio/TV/digital, film/multimedia, PR, and advertising.

FINANCIAL AID (11:15 a.m.) Location: Satellite Student Union
Learn about what the next steps are in the financial aid process on our campus: how to check your portal, understanding your award letter and more!  

WHAT’S NEXT FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS? (11:15 a.m.) Location: North Gym 118
Attend a session with the Fresno State Transfer Admissions team and learn in details the next steps you must take as a transfer student to successfully enroll for fall 2017. The workshop will also cover various deadlines, tools, documents, and what to prepare for your Dog Days orientation this summer.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR FIRST-TIME-FRESHMEN AND DOG DAYS? (11:15 a.m. AND 1 p.m.) Location: McLane Hall 121
This workshop will cover the different steps an incoming freshman must take in order to enroll for fall 2017. Some of the topics will include navigating and understanding your student portal, accept/decline, Dog Days registration, important deadlines, and the Early Start Program.

HIGHER EDUCATION AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR MIGRANT STUDENTS (11:15 a.m. AND 1 p.m.)
Location: McLane Hall 161
Bilingual worksop in English and Spanish. During this workshop, we will cover admission steps, cost, and financial resources required to successfully enroll at Fresno State.En este taller repasaremos el proceso de admision, costo, y recursos financieros.

STUDENT INVOLVEMENT AT FRESNOSTATE (11:15 a.m. AND 1 p.m.) Location: University Student Union 312
Want to learn more about getting involved? This session will provide a broad overview of the activities, events, clubs/orgs, Greek community, leadership opportunities, homecoming, commuter student life, and traditions on Fresno State’s campus.

COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND MATH’S FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE (11:15 a.m.) Location: University Center 123
Come and find out the benefits of being part of the College’s First Year Experience.  A video of students from previous years will be shown, followed by a discussion and Q&A session with Peer Leaders and Students who went through the experience.
 
TRANSFER STUDENTS WELCOME! (1 p.m.) Location: North Gym 118
The Undergraduate Student Recruitment staff is hosting a Special Welcome to Fresno State  for transfer students. Come network with our counseling staff and other fall 2017 transfer students. Our panel of counselors will assist you with questions and provide additional support for a smooth transition to Fresno State.

PREPARING TO SUCCEED: MONEY MANAGING FOR STUDENTS (1 p.m.) Location: Satellite Student Union
Managing your budget well is an essential part of financial success. Unfortunately, many students are not confident with how to manage their finances independently. This workshop is designed to help you understand the basics of money management.

FRESNO STATE WINERY TOUR (1 p.m. AND 2 p.m.) Location: Departs from Free Speech Area
From the vine to the bottle, take a walking tour of the vineyards, Enology department and Fresno State Winery. Tour will last about an hour.

JORDAN COLLEGE UNIVERSITY FARM LABORATORY ANIMAL SCIENCE UNIT TOUR (2 p.m.) Location: Departs from outside of Agricultural Sciences Courtyard
Join Dr. Rocca and the Jordan College Ag Ambassadors for a tour of the University Farm Laboratory Animal Science units. The walking tour will cover about 1 mile and be over an hour long.

HMONG FAMILY WORKSHOP (2 p.m.) Location: McLane Hall 161
Families play an important role in the transition to college. Hmong-language speakers will discuss student support programs and advising resources available for your students and how these resources can place your student on the path towards success.
